When it comes to a Sunday pub lunch on a gloomy winter day, the requirements are simple – good food at a reasonable price, comfortable surroundings and a warm welcome. It’s a simple formula yet can be surprisingly difficult to find.
But the Vine Tree at Randwick ticked all the boxes when we paid a visit.
We were treated to a warm welcome the moment we stepped through the door, which with our two-year-old son in tow is not always the case. It set the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon. There was plenty to choose from on the menu, to suit most tastes, and pockets.
A warm welcome to Lajos & Jana, food is absolutely superb would recomend to anyone keep up the good work….
Friendly pub with super views over Stroud and beyond to Rodborough and Selsley. L-shaped bar area with eating area occupying one limb. Snacks.
Campaign for Real Ale
You will have to travel a long way to find another pub with such a warm and welcoming atmosphere and the service and food is exceptional. Thanks Lajos & Jana

Just to say how impressed I was with your wine selection when we visited on Sunday it puts other pubs to shame, The only thing was it rather extended our Sunday lunch as we just had to try the Prosecco..!!!
Walking the Cotswold Way on a very rainy day, we were delighted to receive a very friendly reception from the landlord despite muddy boots and dog. Even better was the excellent beer and food. A real haven!
Beer In The Evening
Had to write & say THANK YOU again for Saturday’s Mexican night Steve and I had an amazing night, the pub was buzzing and the food was out of this world. Thank you for all your hard work – much appreciated.

As a retired couple we have recently discovered “The Vine Tree” and found it to be a friendly and welcoming pub. The numerous selections include a “Golden Years” menu, and we have found this to be first class, with excellent presentation, very tasty and nice and hot and at a sensible price. So many pubs serve poor to mediocre food at inflated prices.

Randwick may be tucked out of the way, but there’s nothing backwards about the Vine Tree. Locals and regulars are welcomed alongside newcomers and visitors and the landlord and lady maintain a relaxed attitude. Good beer is served…
